
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Veneer Division Accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting corporate cash management, fixed asset accounting, financial reporting, and general accounting activities. The successful candidate will also provide backup support for key accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, banking, invoicing, accounts receivable, and other shared accounting processes.

Columbia Forest Products is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Veneer Division Accounting team. This position is responsible for plant accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger management for assigned business entities. The Staff Accountant will support a variety of accounting and financial processes while partnering closely with mill and corporate teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will provide cross-functional support and backup coverage for key plant accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, banking, invoicing, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations.
This role is on site and can be located in either Newport, VT or Presque Isle, ME
The salary range for this role is 65-75k.
