Job Category: Customer ServiceJob Purpose: The Vendor Specialist is responsible for verifying, resolving, and entering various documents ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. This involves a variety of duties from processing payment, resolving payment errors, and providing personalized support to providers experiencing difficulties.
Essential Job Functions:

- Communicates and collaborates with people who use iLIFE services to address errors in payments, submission/processing of claims, and budget discrepancies.
- Monitors and tracks invoice punches in our payroll system are entered and recorded correctly.
- Reviews, analyzes, problem solves, and troubleshoots invoice payment inquires in a timely manner.
- Ensures data remains accurate for billing and payroll before being released to outside agencies.
- Meets invoice metrics which include manual daily entries and retention of paperwork.
- Transcribes comments to software system/program care notes accurately and timely.
- Communicates trends and process improvements to management to help develop efficiencies within areas.
- Understands and processes transit ticket and accessibility assessments as required.
- Escalates over-authorizations and discrepancies in payment when needed.
- Cross-trains to learn the work of other departmental staff to provide an effective back-up when needed.
- Takes initiative to provide feedback for process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
Minimum

Required Education: High school education or equivalency required. College degree preferred.
Minimum Required

Experience:

- - Preferred two to four years of experience in payroll processing.

- - Preferred one year of experience in EVV systems.

- - Preferred two years of customer service experience.

- Must be able to prioritize many tasks and exhibit excellent, mature judgment.
- Must be a self-motivator and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organization and administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access; ability to learn and use PC based software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interaction skills with a diverse team, customers, and other stakeholders
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy while meeting requirements.
- Ability to prioritize duties and function effectively in a multi-task environment.
- Ability to operate under and explain agency and departmental procedures and guidelines.

Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
