This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. This temporary position is located at 1915 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh -- Wake County, with the Department of Administration.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $28.38 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment, or a sufficient year-for- year combination of education and experience in the repair work to which assigned; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Special Qualifications May require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
