Vehicle Technician

We are looking to broaden our team by hiring an Automotive Technician. We are specialist service providers to the vehicle manufacturing industry and their supply chains, and this is an excellent opportunity for you to join our growing team of contractors.

A Vehicle Technician must be an all-rounder who can perform a full range of tasks on vehicle re-works. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to various job tasks, e.g. removal and refit, removal and refitting of interior trims, light mechanical work and general modifications to original vehicle build, exterior trim work and minor mechanical / electrical work.

· Various tasks on Vehicle Re-works: Fit and strip both mechanical and body parts from vehicles including body panel, interiors, gear boxes etc. as well as remove engines, and suspensions

· Accessing and removing damaged components

· Replacing Components

· Logging all repairs either manually or on a digital data system, detailing the work done

· To perform all work assigned in a timely manner, economically and to Manufacturer’s standards

· Carry out work within a realistic time, be this time either manufacturers, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of work

· To record all times and attendance hours to facilitate payment

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

· Level 3 IMI or equivalent in Light vehicle maintenance and repair.

· Experience working on components of modern light motor vehicles

· Experience in an automotive environment is essential

· A full category “B” driving licence is essential

· Must have own range of Mechanical tools

Benefits

Our Hourly Rate from £15.00 per hour to £24.94 per hour

This work is contract work - Limited Company or Umbrella.
