Job:

To support the Service Quality team in providing technical and warranty support for vehicles and associated digital services to Porsche Centres and their customers through the provision of high quality technical and warranty documentation and advice.

This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year. The role will commence in August 2027. Please ensure that you have read and understood the requirements of the role before applying.

Responsibilities:

• Support Porsche Centres with technical and repair queries relating to ICE, hybrid, electric vehicles, and Porsche Connect services.
• Assist with the assessment, management, and resolution of technical support cases and repair requests.
• Liaise with Porsche Centre technicians to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support the validation and documentation of repair methods using vehicles and specialist workshop equipment.
• Assist in the management and maintenance of the Porsche vehicle fleet, including bookings, repairs, servicing, and MOTs.
• Learn, document, and support new vehicle technologies, features, and digital services.
• Create, review, and publish technical support and warranty documentation for Porsche Centres and internal teams.
• Support Porsche Centres with the configuration and use of diagnostic systems, tools, and workshop equipment.
• Assist in delivering technical training sessions tailored to different business audiences.
• Collaborate with Technical Support and Customer Information Centre teams on day-to-day operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support technical processes and knowledge sharing.
• Process, analyse, and present technical data through reports and graphical insights.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Studying a Automotive Engineering related degree at university.
• Excellent level of PC literacy, including MS-Office, Excel, Word,
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Understanding of motor vehicle fundamentals,
• Must have held a clean driving license for more than 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Interest and proficiency in the use of mobile devices and web services.
• Keen interest in the automotive industry, motor vehicles and associated new technologies.
• Willingness to work both in an office and workshop environment.
• Prioritising skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Porsche Cars GB Ltd and Porsche Retail Head Office is located conveniently by junction 12 of the M4, adjacent to a retail park, gym, and well-known fast-food restaurants. It is within walking distance of Theale's main line train station and a bus stop which operate regular services to Reading Town Centre.
