Ce poste consiste à effectuer l’attelage et le dételage des ensembles tracteur-remorque. La personne déplace et manœuvre l’équipement de type tracteur-remorque afin de le positionner pour les opérations liées aux remorques et à la manutention des colis. Ce poste peut inclure d’autres tâches selon les directives.
• Prépare la zone de travail avec l’équipement approprié conformément aux directives en vigueur.
• Aide à organiser l’installation requise.
• Décharge les colis entrants manuellement ou à l’aide d’une machine.
• Vérifie la quantité et l’état des unités de livraison.
• Scanne les colis à l’aide de l’équipement approprié.
• Trie les colis selon les processus définis (service UPS, destination, etc.), puis les entrepose dans les zones prévues selon les catégories.
• Remplit les documents ou enregistre les données et valide les informations sur les supports appropriés.
• Repositionne les véhicules conformément au plan de quai établi.
• Nettoie l’environnement de travail pendant ou après les opérations.
• Signale toute anomalie ou tout dysfonctionnement au superviseur.
• Respecte les exigences locales d’âge et d’exploitation pour conduire un véhicule
• Connaissance des principes de manutention des colis
• Diplôme d’études secondaires, GED ou équivalent international
• 2 ans d’expérience en conduite de véhicules – un atout
Shift : SW 16:00 on Sunday , SW 21:00 Monday to Thursday
This position performs the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers. This position moves and maneuvers tractor trailer equipment into position for the tractor trailer and package handling operations. This position may include other work as directed.
Responsibilities:
Prepares work zone with suitable equipment in accordance with current guidelines.
Assists with organizing specified set-up.
Unloads incoming packages manually or using a machine.
Checks the quantity and condition of delivery units.
Scans packages using the correct equipment.
Sorts packages according to the defined processes (UPS department, destination, etc.) then stores them in the areas provided according to categories.
Fills out documentation or records and validates information on the appropriate media.
Repositions vehicles according to the established dock plan.
Cleans work environment during or after operations.
Reports any malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
Knowledge of package handling principles
High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
2 years' experience driving vehicles - Preferred
