Role Overview As a Mechanic in Vehicle Development, you support our engineering and validation teams in building, modifying, diagnosing, and maintaining prototype, pre-series, and series vehicles. You work closely with development engineers, test managers, and workshop partners to ensure that our test fleet is always ready for operation. Key Responsibilities - Build, modify, and rework development and test vehicles (mechanical systems, chassis, interior, powertrain; HV systems depending on qualification). - Perform repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and resolving mechanical issues. - Prepare vehicles for testing activities, support vehicle evaluations, and document findings and issues. - Conduct vehicle inspections according to manufacturer guidelines, test plans, and safety regulations. - Document all work using digital tools. - Support root-cause analysis and contribute technical insights to solve development-related issues. - Maintain safety and order in the development workshop (UVV compliance, HV safety standards, tool management). - Support vehicle transports, test bench setups and test drives (with appropriate authorization and license).
职位要求
Required Qualifications - Completed vocational training as Automotive Mechatronic Technician, Automotive Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or comparable qualification. - Ideally, experience in the prototype, testing, or development environment (OEM, Tier-1, R&D service provider). - Strong skills in mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. - High-voltage qualification (HV2 / working on HV systems) is a plus - or willingness to obtain it. - Experience with diagnostic systems, wiring diagrams, and workshop software. - Safe and compliant working methods according to safety and HV regulations. Personal Skills - Strong passion for automotive technology and development work. - Structured, precise, and reliable way of working. - Flexibility in working hours within a test and development environment. - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. - High level of self-motivation and problem-solving ability. - Willingness to travel
