Veolia ANZ is looking for a positive and energetic Vehicle Logistics Officer (VLO) to join our operations team in Dry Creek South Australia - (5084).
In this role you’ll play a pivotal part as the first point of contact for our medical and confidential drivers and operators to coordinate waste collection from customers across the Adelaide metro and regional SA. This role will require you to ensure all drivers perform their duties in a safe manner without risk to health, safety, quality and environment.
Reporting to the Liquid, Medical and Hazardous Manager- SA, the VLO will assist in scheduling, routing and generation of driver runs and will liaise with stakeholders and drivers to provide assistance where required.

Scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of waste collection pantechs
Proactively review route performance to identify optimisation and improvement opportunities for efficiency
Meet Services delivery KPIs
Communicate with both drivers and customers
Ensuring all paperwork and runsheets are correct and accurate
Problem solve by responding to customer issues that are of immediate operational concern with a solutions focus
Respond to any operational queries raised by the Customer Services Team/Sales Team and/or customer
Conduct daily end of shift driver debrief meetings, discuss run efficiencies and capture any incidents or compliance issues
Experience in Waste Management, Transport, Logistics, or Service Industries
Proven track record in scheduling, allocations, and planning
Solid understanding of heavy vehicle transport regulations
Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate your team
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Advanced problem-solving capabilities to resolve issues quickly and effectively
