Vehicle Engineering – Interior – Design Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsibilities are derived from the processes relevant to the role
§Create CAD models and Drawings and manage them through the complete product development, from Concept to Sign-off
§Ensure CAD is developed according to achieve Performances defined
§Support the DVP (design validation plan) and guarantee that is requirement is captured in the CAD
§Responsible of Components/System integration in Vehicle (both Virtual and Physical)
§Ensure accurate integration into CAE Simulation and DMU releasing
§Greate and support DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), ensure the integration of systems into the vehicle, and CAD is updated accordingly.
§Support the release process for Prototype and Series production, including preparation of the specific documentation, and management of the stakeholders to guarantee the final approval according to the Program Milestones
§Work closely with Function Experts, Attribute Teams, Quality Teams, Manufacturing Team, Purchasing Team, and Suppliers to deliver industry-leading structural performance on time and on budget
§Ensure lesson learn and design guidelines are in place with the proper documentation and captured in the CAD
REQUIREMENTS - Authorities and Capabilities required to fulfil the Responsibilities
§Knowledge in Technologies, Materials, and overall Engineering related Interior Cabin perimeter
§Proven experience in engineering methodologies, automotive low-volume technologies, mechatronics and safety, detailed design and CAD modeling, and drawing creation with relationship to Interior Cabin
§Interpret specifications against new Requirements.
§Knowledge on GD&T methodologies and their application to components manufacturing
§Knowledge on tolerance chain analysis and perform gap analysis
§Knowledge on DFMEA methodology and its application
§CATIA V6/3DX competence to a high standard
§Knowledge of automotive processes – Product Plan, Quality Maturation processes, Releasing, etc.
§Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and goals, with clear communication and prioritization skills
§Fluent in English, both spoken and written
§Nice to have - Knowledge on overall Interior Cabin and Fine Mechanics & Restraints Systems and Components

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Proficient in Microsoft office suite of tools, Excel, Word and Power point, familiar with working in a share point environment with MS Teams and MS Outlook, Planning and project tools. Experienced in CAD/PLM tools. Knowledgeable of Mechanical Engineering and technologies, Technical Standards, typical automotive Specs/Requirement and related breakdown to System/Component. Able to apply engineering best practice; Ability to work in a team; Ability to make decisions; Excellent fluency in English; Able to understand the bigger picture; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to have multiple priorities.
SENIORITY LEVELS
3 years Automotive/Motorsport industry experience, ideally both OEM and Tier 1
