About the role

The Vegetation Management Technicianis responsible forthe safe and effective control, maintenance, and removal of vegetation in designated areas to support infrastructure reliability, environmental compliance, and safetyobjectives. This role involves field-based work, including inspection, treatment, and documentation of vegetation conditionsin accordance withcompany standards and regulatory requirements.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Perform vegetation control activities includingmowing,trimmingand removal of brush.
  • Inspect work areas toidentifypotential hazards, encroachments, and vegetation-related risks.
  • Operate andmaintainequipment such asmowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of work performed, including treatment methods, locations, and quantities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support emergency response efforts related to vegetation impacts (e.g., storm damage clearance).
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and property owners when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental guidelines, and applicable regulations.

And all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired.
  • Prior experience in vegetation managementor related field preferred.
  • Ability to safelyoperatepower tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s licenserequired.

Additional Requirements

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working around mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Able to work overtimeas needed for work or training.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able tomaintaina good drivingrecord.
