We are looking for one talented individual to join us as Veeva Platform Data Governance Lead to establish and govern a trusted enterprise data foundation across the Veeva platform - enabling compliance, automation, and AI readiness by defining/enforcing data standards, quality controls, and lineage across vaults, and by shaping governed data products for cross-domain workflows.
The position is open in our technology centers in Prague (preferred) and Hyderabad and will be reporting to the Veeva Platform Center of Efficiency Lead.
We enable end-to-end enterprise workflows by governing integrations, APIs, and data products across Veeva Vault families –â â â â â â with a strong focus on standardization, reuse (reduce bespoke interfaces, lower risk, improve reliability, and reduce TCO) and AI readiness
Key responsibilities
Define and govern enterprise data standards (incl. metadata, controlled vocabularies where needed), plus associated APIs/connections
Ensure data quality assurance and lineage control across vaults and cross-vault flows
Establish and maintain governed data products supporting cross-domain processes
Align data governance with security, privacy, and compliance requirements
Enable AI readiness through trusted, well-governed data foundations
Requirements
5+ years' experience in data management / data governance / data quality, including 3+ years experience leading governance frameworks (standards, stewardship, lineage, quality controls) in an enterprise setting
Proven ability to operationalize governance in a way that accelerates delivery (not âpolicy onlyâ) - translating business needs into implementable standards and enabling fast implementation with technical teams
Hands-on understanding of data lineage, data quality controls, and metadata management across distributed systems/platforms
Strong collaboration skills to work with business divisions (Human Health, Animal Health, our research laboratories and manufacturing) and translate business processes/needs into technical language, definitions, standards, and guardrails
Comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced matrix environment; strong influencing without formal authority
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Growth mindset, pragmatic, flexible, outcome-driven
Preferred
Veeva Vault / Veeva platform data experience (beneficial), but strong general platform data governance experience is equally valuable
Pharma / life sciences and regulated data context familiarity (compliance-driven, audit-ready thinking)
Familiarity with privacy/security-by-design concepts and working closely with security/privacy stakeholders
Experience with a â data as a productâ mindset (governed data products with clear ownership, definitions, and consumption patterns)
Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA/CDMP)
Masterâs degree in Data/IS/Engineering or equivalent depth in enterprise data governance
