Job Description

The VDC Senior Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing Company's strategic relationship with VDC in Tanzania. The role focuses on developing long-term customer partnerships, identifying business opportunities, leading project operations, and ensuring successful delivery of ICT solutions. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer while coordinating with internal technical, solution, delivery, and regional teams to achieve business and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and maintain strong strategic relationships with VDC and other key stakeholders.

• Understand the customer's business strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and network requirements.

• Identify new business opportunities and position Company's ICT solutions, including cloud, computing, AI, and enterprise networking solutions.

• Lead account planning and execute customer engagement strategies to maximize revenue growth.

• Serve as the Project Director (PD) for customer projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including pre-sales, solution architects, delivery, finance, legal, and technical support to ensure project success.

• Collaborate closely with Company regional and headquarters account teams to align customer strategies and business development activities.

• Drive project operations, monitor project milestones, manage risks, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare business proposals, commercial negotiations, and customer presentations.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective account strategies.

• Ensure timely achievement of sales targets, project objectives, and business KPIs.

• Build executive-level relationships with customer decision-makers and influence strategic business decisions.

• Maintain accurate account forecasts, pipeline management, and reporting within the company's CRM system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

• A Master's degree or MBA will be an added advantage.

• Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Cloud Technologies, or ICT solutions will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the telecommunications or ICT industry.

• Proven experience managing large enterprise or strategic accounts.

• Experience working with telecom operators or large B2B enterprise customers.

• Experience in financial services industry projects will be highly preferred.

• Experience in ICT project development involving cloud computing, AI, digital transformation, or enterprise computing solutions will be an added advantage.

• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-million-dollar projects involving multiple stakeholders.
