Salary $76,500 - $86,700 based on experience and qualifications, plus vacation and statutory holiday pay.
While this role reports to our Ottawa office, the current work location is Chalk River, ON.
At Chandos, we build more than projects—we build communities, people, and possibilities. We are looking for a VDC Coordinator who will bring expertise, collaboration, and leadership to support our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts.
In this role, you will coordinate and support VDC/BIM development on a project-by-project basis, working closely with consultants, trade contractors, and operations staff. You’ll play a key role in ensuring VDC is used to its fullest potential to deliver successful projects.
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and mentor internal project team members to achieve project deliverables.
Determine resources required to complete projects in line with commitments.
Guide teams through project bids, budgeting, and other pre-construction services.
Manage client relationships after project award to ensure an excellent experience and strong retention.
Provide preconstruction leadership, encouraging value-based design and innovative solutions.
Align project execution plans with Chandos’ core values by overseeing goals, risks, budgets, staffing, milestones, and deliverables.
Support and promote a strong safety culture that reflects our corporate strategies and core values.
What You Bring
A technical diploma in a relevant field.
2+ years of construction experience with a general contractor.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first approach.
A relationship-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
Solid working knowledge of VDC software
Eligibility for certification with local governing bodies (ASET, APEGA).
Technical proficiency with VDC tools, including (but not limited to) Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related software.
Must complete a site security clearance.
