What You Will Do

• Refine the Craft - Through the Contour Tutor Academy, you will develop the craft of explanation, learning how to break down complex concepts into intuitive “aha” moments that help students build deep understanding.
• Specialised Instruction - Deliver lessons across our Core, Mastery, and Extension programs. Tailoring your delivery to help struggling students find their footing and high-achievers reach the absolute peak of VCE performance.
• Long-Term Impact - This role is for educators who want to become the gold standard of VCE tutoring. You will mentor students, share insights from your own academic journey, and help shape the next generation of high achievers.
• Execute a World Class Curriculum - At Contour, you do not spend your Sundays writing lesson plans or your weeknights designing worksheets. Our curriculum is fully developed, refined, and ready to go.
• Teach from the Contour Workbook - Lead classes using our proprietary, high-quality workbooks. These aren't just textbooks; they are structured pedagogical tools that guide your teaching flow, ensuring every student gets the same "gold standard" experience.
• Data-Driven Instruction - With homework, practice SACs, and exams already created and integrated into our LMS, your role is to provide the "human element", the intuition, the engagement, and the expert breakdown that a piece of paper can't provide.

What You Will Bring

• Academic Excellence - Completion of VCE with a 99+ ATAR including a 45+ raw study score in VCE Maths Methods or Specialist Maths, and at least first year university level knowledge in Mathematics.
• The Ability to Explain Clearly - Strong communication skills and the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, intuitive explanations.
• A High Performance Mindset - High energy, empathy, independence, initiative, and a genuine drive to help ambitious students succeed.
• Commitment to the Role - Availability for a full time position across the academic year.
