Job Description

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a VBA Consultant to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Support several end user computing applications like VBA and Python applications, macros, and PowerBI dashboards for different divisions.
  • Maintain customer relationships within different divisions, manage the change process and ensure smooth communication.
  • Act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/modifications to new and current industry practices.
  • Identify risks and liaise on issues related to changes.
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather business requirements and any other relevant input.
  • Develop new required features in the VBA / Python applications/macros and PowerBI dashboards.
  • Follow up on deliverables related to these applications with internal and external parties.
  • Prepare documents to support internal decision making, testing or training material.
  • Develop and execute an internal communication plan for changes and new features to the business.
  • Perform testing, change management documentation and support the deployment of the technology and hand over to production support.
  • Ensure all material is stored on the SharePoint environment for audit purposes.
  • Support other division related tasks as applicable such as organizing and running meetings.
  • Develop agendas, prepare minutes, follow up on open actions, identifying risk and issues with appropriate mitigating actions.
  • Participate in handover of VBA, Java, and SQL applications and their corresponding documentation.
  • Participate in handover of development and change management processes.
  • Provide handover protocol to document the completeness of handover tasks.

Requirements

What will you be bringing to the team?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, data science, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of direct experience with similar and relevant IT projects.
  • Development and rollout experience with VBA and MS Office Macros (Access & Excel).
  • Good understanding of modern IT architecture.
  • Good understanding of and experience with: SQL, XML, XSLT.
  • Good project management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Experience in providing reporting and other communications at a senior management level.
  • Ability to document clear and complete business requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is desirable.
  • Professional experience with PowerBI and/or Microsoft Fabric is desirable.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is desirable.
  • Experience with the following financial IT systems: SWIFT, Murex, Bloomberg is desirable.
  • Proven customer-oriented change management communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
