Ecolab has an opportunity for a VAT Technical Specialist to join our European VAT Technical Team in Budapest. The VTT Specialist will primarily be responsible for technical support of reporting and accounting duties related to our corporate VAT activities across the Europe region. VAT Technical Team (VTT) successful candidate will support the VAT Operational Team (VOT) to deliver monthly and annual reporting, forecasts and work with a multifunctional team based in Budapest and throughout Europe as well Globally.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Process optimalization, automatization and improvement
Business process automations
Business Data analysis
Process (re)engineering
Data engineering
Software development
Participation in projects
Support VAT compliance: VAT related reporting (i.e. VAT, Intrastat)
Coordinate the timely and accurate issuance and retention of the required reports
Provision of data to external consultants
Supporting of other departments in case any kind of tax/invoicing technical issues
Expectation:
BSc or MSc degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, IT
1+ years relevant experience in a similar role
Fluency in English
Additional European language is an advantage
Strong MS Office skills
ERP system user level knowledge – especially SAP
Strong Python (4Y experience) knowledge
Basic SQL knowledge
Strong VBA (2Y experience) knowledge
Basic JavaScript knowledge
Basic scripting knowledge
