Our client is seeking a VAT Executive to join their Tax Advisory team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, supporting them on VAT compliance, advisory matters, and indirect tax obligations.
The successful candidate will assist clients in navigating VAT requirements, ensuring compliance with Maltese VAT legislation while also supporting advisory projects, audits, due diligence exercises, and technical research.

Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.
Prepare and review VAT Recapitulative Statements and other related filings.
Assist clients with VAT registrations, de-registrations, and ongoing compliance obligations.
Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of VAT compliance work.
Assist in advising clients on Maltese VAT legislation, developments, and practical implications.
Support VAT audits, investigations, and queries raised by regulatory authorities.
Liaise with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on VAT-related matters and technical interpretations.
Assist in due diligence assignments relating to VAT and indirect tax matters.
Support the VAT team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Contribute to the preparation of technical publications, client communications, and tax updates.
Conduct VAT research and stay informed of legislative and regulatory developments.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant VAT experience, ideally within a professional services, advisory, or accounting environment.
A Master's degree in Accountancy, full ACCA qualification, or currently in the final stages of obtaining the ACCA qualification.
Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT legislation and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
