Your Role:

The VAT Business Process Expert (BPE) bridges the gap between global indirect tax legislation and tax determination within ERP systems. This role ensures accurate tax calculation, system stability, and compliance with evolving indirect tax regulations.

As a BPE, you oversee and govern tax engine issue resolution, drive system enhancements, and collaborate with IT, tax, and accounting departments to ensure alignment between technology, tax policies, and business objectives.

You are responsible for driving harmonization, process efficiency, and automation in tax determination and reporting across ERP systems and countries within the scope of our global Finance Services organization.

In addition to the governance and maintenance of tax engines such as ONESOURCE, SAP SD, and Invoice Track, your role also includes supporting VAT-related ERP projects, including ERP deployments, implementation of e-invoicing (ViDA), SAP DRC, and other tax-related applications.

Who You Are:

• Preferably a degree in Business Information Systems with a focus on Finance/ERP
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in tax, accounting, ERP/SAP consulting, or a similar field
• Solid accounting knowledge and at least a basic understanding of indirect tax reporting procedures
• Strong understanding of ERP (SAP) tax determination processes, including condition-based tax determination in SD, as well as dependencies from other SAP modules such as MM and FI
• Experience with tax engines (e.g., ONESOURCE, Invoice Track) is a plus
• General understanding of database structures
• Ideally, experience in SAP-related projects (e.g., as a Business Process Architect)
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders from different functional backgrounds in an international environment
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus
