At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), our Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) Technologists play a critical role in delivering advanced, life-saving care. In this position, you will perform specialized vascular and interventional radiographic procedures that support complex cardiovascular, neuroendovascular, and general interventional cases.

Working side-by-side with physicians, nurses, fellow technologists, and support staff, you will be an essential part of a highly collaborative interventional team. Your expertise will directly support providers during intricate procedures in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

As a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence, DHMC relies on its VIR team to provide around-the-clock care. To support this mission, technologists participate in off-hours and weekend call rotations.

This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license, contribute to cutting-edge care, and make a meaningful impact on patients during some of their most critical moments.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week day-shift position with required call coverage. Call is compensated at $10.50 per hour. While on call, team members support Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, and Neuro cases, including trauma and stroke interventions consistent with our Level I Trauma Center designation.

Call responsibilities are shared across the team. Weeknight call rotates, while weekend coverage runs continuously from Friday evening through Monday morning and is covered by a single team.

When fully staffed, call expectations include:

  • One weekend of coverage every 6 weeks
  • One weekday of primary call and one weekday of backup call every 3 weeks

For our full-time positions (30+ hours), we are offering a $20,000 sign-on/retention bonus. *The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
