Job Description

The Consultant will be responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of Varicent based performance management solutions to meet the client’s business and technical requirements. This position requires a proactive and motivated professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing assigned deliverables while collaborating effectively with Senior Consultant to ensure successful client outcomes.

Responsibilities in this role also include consulting throughout the software implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing and go-live. Consultants will work with senior team members to capture and validate notes from client discovery and review sessions then performing configuration and development tasks both independently as well as under the direction of senior team members.

Job Objectives

The ideal candidate should be able to:

  • Configure within the Varicent platform as per design provided
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL procedure and packages
  • Good knowledge on Compensation rules and underlying attributes mapping
  • Own specific deliverables in any phase per assigned projects
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and within requested timelines
  • Adapt communication appropriately with client, leader, and project team
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Make meaningful contributions to requirements and design documentation
  • Configure application per design specifications
  • Collaborate with clients and internal project teams throughout implementation and support engagements
  • Provide SIT / UAT Test phase support related to owned deliverables
  • Demonstrates the ability to solve complex problems
  • Share knowledge with colleague / team members

Requirements

Nice to Have Skills

  • 3+ years of configuration experience within the Varicent Platform
  • Experience with Varicent Calculations, Composer, Presenter, Workflow, and Reporting modules
  • Exposure to ETL processes and data integration tools.
  • External client facing experience / prior consulting experience
  • SQL & Data Analysis
  • Advanced skillsets in excel / spreadsheet software
  • Expert communication skills including writing, listening, and speaking
