What Will You Do?

A day in the life of a Communications Coordinator supporting VF Retail looks a little like this:

You will support brand and retail communication strategies by creating, managing, and distributing content that aligns with business priorities, brand voice, and company values. Reporting into Retail Operations, this role plays a critical part in driving clarity, consistency, and engagement across internal communication channels.

Let’s break that down a bit more:

  • Create and manage content across internal channels (emails, store communications, intranet, presentations, and leadership updates)

  • Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, HR, and COEs to ensure consistent and aligned messaging

  • Support and maintain the retail communications calendar to ensure a clear, prioritized, and effective flow of information to stores and field leaders

  • Monitor communication effectiveness using feedback loops and available tools; recommend improvements to drive clarity and engagement

  • Drive simplification and consistency in how communications are developed and delivered across retail teams

  • Prepare recurring updates and summaries for retail and brand leadership on communication effectiveness and key outcomes

  • Flex across VF brands (e.g., Vans, Timberland, The North Face, etc.) to support communication needs based on business priorities and resourcing

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, consistent, and streamlined communication experience for retail stores and field leaders

  • Reduced noise and increased clarity across communication channels

  • Strong alignment across functions and, when applicable, across brands

  • Increased engagement and understanding of key business priorities within retail teams

  • Positive feedback from stores, District Managers, and cross-functional partners

  • Seamless ability to support multiple brands without disrupting communication quality
