About the role:

The role involves loading and securing fresh food products, predominantly produce, at the depot using manual handling techniques, ensuring all items are safely prepared for delivery. You will complete all necessary pre-departure checks and ensure delivery documentation is accurate before leaving site. Deliveries will be made to schools across Northern Ireland, with a strong focus on ensuring goods arrive in excellent condition and within agreed timeframes. You will be responsible for obtaining appropriate signatures, accurately completing delivery paperwork and managing any product returns in line with company procedures. In addition, you will maintain high vehicle standards, including cleanliness and daily safety checks such as water, oil and fuel levels, while also ensuring effective cage control and accountability throughout your deliveries.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Essential Criteria:
• Hold a full, valid Category B driving licence with ideally no more than 6 penalty points
• Have a good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland
• Able to deliver outstanding Customer Service

Desirable Criteria:
• Multi-drop delivery/collection experience
• A good knowledge of vehicle refrigeration.

Hours and days of work:
The successful applicants will have a core contract of 38 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7, job to finish and overtime as required, which may include occasional working a 6th day.

Shift pattern:
Start times between 4am and 5am daily and flexibility is required with regards to hours of work.

Our drivers enjoy flexibility in their start times, typically between 4am and 5am. You’ll have the independence to plan your departure from the depot in a way that suits you, as long as customer deliveries are completed efficiently and to our high service standards.
