Part-Time Van Driver – Hereford

£12.80 per hour | Approximately 25 hours per week | Mon to Fri

Speedy Freight is a leading national logistics provider specialising in same-day, time-sensitive deliveries across the UK and Europe. We provide tailored transport solutions for businesses that need reliability, speed and professionalism.

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and flexible Part-Time Van Driver to join our team at our Hereford branch, helping us deliver an excellent service to our customers, primarily hospitals across the region and beyond.

This is an employed position working approximately 25 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday, with shifts mainly falling between 6am and 1pm. Flexibility is important, as some deliveries may require earlier starts depending on urgency.

What you'll do

As a Van Driver at Speedy Freight, you’ll be responsible for:

• Collecting goods from our Hereford branch and local locations.
• Delivering time-sensitive shipments to hospitals and other customer locations across areas including Stoke, Bristol and North Wales.
• Completing one dedicated delivery per journey, rather than multiple drops.
• Ensuring goods are transported safely, securely and delivered on time
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of smaller items where required. Heavy lifting will be minimal
• Representing Speedy Freight professionally and providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and following company procedures.

A company van will be provided – based at Hereford site.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you must:

• Be 25 years or older.
• Hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 2 years.
• No driving endorsements, clean UK license.
• Good geographical knowledge
• Have previous van driving or relevant driving experience.
• Be reliable, punctual, patient and hardworking.
• Be flexible with start times, including occasional early starts at short notice where needed
• Be comfortable driving longer distances across the UK
• Take pride in delivering excellent customer service and handling goods responsibly.
• Be happy to assist with some loading and unloading of smaller items.
