Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Customer Property/Remanufacturing, this position will be responsible for repairs of all valve equipment. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key position functions include:

  • Repair all valve equipment while maintaining high standards of production, documentation and safety.
  • Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications.
  • Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves.
  • Maintain accurate database and documentation.
  • Calibrate, function test, and trouble shoot choke valves, and a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric positioners and actuation.
  • Record non-conformances as required.
  • Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of any irregularities with orders or equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers and racking.
  • Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Occasional yard maintenance work.
  • After-hours availability when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Related valve repair, rebuild, and/or teardown experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitor’s equipment is an asset.
  • A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Good communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
