The Value Stream Manager is responsible for driving plant performance through effective leadership, strategic planning, and execution of initiatives aligned with business objectives. This role oversees daily operations, mid- to long-term improvement projects, resource planning, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) targets. They also act as a key liaison between the plant floor and plant management.

YOUR IMPACT

Strategic & Operational Planning

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with business and customer needs.

  • Lead mid-to-long-term initiatives to drive process and performance improvements.

  • Manage production capacity to align with market demand.

Performance Management & Improvement

  • Forecast staffing, expenditures, unit completions, and plant performance metrics.

  • Analyze variances and implement corrective actions to ensure target attainment.

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement events (e.g., Kaizen, RCI).

  • Lead Tier 3 GEMBA meetings and represent plant leadership at Tier IV and executive-level reviews.

  • Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.

Team & Talent Management

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, work assignments, and performance evaluations.

  • Develop succession plans and grow internal talent for future leadership roles.

  • Establish effective staffing models to meet production goals.

Financial Oversight

  • Set and review departmental budgets.

  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and operational invoices.

  • Ensure optimal vendor performance in cost, quality, and delivery of operational supplies and services.

Quality & Customer Focus

  • Serve as point of contact for quality issues related to manufacturing.

  • Lead problem-solving efforts when customer-impacting issues arise.

Safety, Compliance & Standards

  • Conduct safety audits and lead active 5S and workplace organization programs.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.

  • Investigate and resolve workplace incidents with a focus on root cause and corrective action.

Process & System Management

  • Perform value stream mapping; lead the planning and implementation of future state processes.

  • Analyze workflow, equipment layout, and space utilization for operational efficiency.

  • Maintain operational data accuracy in ERP systems (Syteline) and reporting tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Eight plus years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a take charge leader capable of grasping the scope of departments’ responsibilities and possesses the resourcefulness to leverage resources to understand and identify performance impediments, find solutions, and implement improvements

  • Ability to consider many variables (resources, constraints, sequences, and timing) to formulate a plan for success.

  • Ability & knowledge to formulate “What if” contingencies for planning purposes to continue to make progress and achieve goals.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and process improvements with the ability to cost effectively implement while improving performance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, problem-solve, and evaluate information

  • Good organization and planning skills

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
