Job Description

We are looking for a sharp and analytical Value Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with customers and internal teams to quantify the operational and financial impact of Orca AI. You will build data-backed business cases, run value discovery sessions, and help customers clearly understand and realize the ROI of the platform. This is an important milestone in our time-to-value process which helps drive expansion and retention.

This role blends analysis, business consulting, customer-facing communication, and strategic thinking. It is ideal for someone who can translate operational improvements into measurable business outcomes and support both pre-sale and post-sale engagements with rigorous, defensible value models.

Mission

Drive measurable business impact for Orca AI customers by quantifying value, building ROI models, and supporting strategic commercial motions. This role ensures every customer clearly understands, tracks, and realizes the financial and operational outcomes of adopting Orca AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer-facing business case development, including ROI calculations, financial modeling, and operational impact assessments.
  • Run structured value discovery sessions with customers to establish baselines, map key pain points, and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop value realization plans and track progress across customer fleets, using real product usage and operational data.
  • Present value assessments and ROI findings to senior customer stakeholders, including executives and fleet leadership.
  • Support CS and Sales teams in strategic opportunities with quantified value frameworks and standardized templates.
  • Build and maintain financial and operational models tied to safety improvements, efficiency gains, and operational KPIs.
  • Translate complex modeling outputs into clear, concise narratives for non-technical customer and internal audiences.
  • Continuously improve Orca AI’s value frameworks, methodologies, and processes to increase scalability and consistency.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in value engineering, consulting, business analysis, solutions consulting, or similar roles.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to translate operational data into clear business impact.
  • Experience working with enterprise or operationally complex customers.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate ROI to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advantage: background in maritime, logistics, transportation, or industrial tech.

Advantage: experience with data-heavy B2B SaaS products or operational KPIs related to safety, efficiency, or fleet performance.
