Joining our Value Creation team will give you exposure to a wide variety of different, exciting organisations. Our client’s range across the public and private sectors including listed corporates, private equity funds, large corporates, government agencies, and large complex transformation programmes.

Our clients require support for a broad range of reasons, but common to all, is the need to improve business performance and create value for their stakeholders. We leverage data and analytics to determine the hard facts and develop actions to improve performance and generate value.

Our services generate long-term value for our clients, these include:

  • Working capital optimisation,
  • End-to-end profitability improvement,
  • Cashflow forecasting,
  • Supply chain optimisation,
  • Product strategy and pricing,
  • Corporate turnaround and performance improvement,
  • Delivery of large scale, complex transformation programmes, and,
  • Operational Deal Services supporting clients through the operational aspects of complex transactions, including due diligence, carve‑outs, integrations, and exit readiness.

Successful applicants will:

  • Primarily deliver high-quality project work by analysing raw data to identify commercial insights and determine root causes of underperformance.
  • Be confident in presenting findings to a non-technical audience in an easy-to-understand and digestible format.
  • Develop recommendations, associated action plans, and support implementation to realise long-lasting benefits quickly.
  • Contribute ideas and materials within business development forums where technical expertise forms part of the pitch.
  • Support ongoing product development to ensure our services and propositions continue to be market leading at delivering value to our clients.
  • Be provided with ongoing professional development, technical skills such as DAX / SQL / Alteryx / PowerBI, and client experience from C-Suite level down.

Ultimately, you will obtain a deep understanding of financial and commercial matters and become experienced at helping businesses solve complex problems using data.

Responsibilities:

Our ‘all hands-on-deck’ approach and a high-performing culture, means that successful applicants will be contribute to all elements of the project lifecycle.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Converting raw data through to recommendations or actionable insights, such as:
    • Transforming raw data to the desired structure
    • Visualising the data in a format that will enable clients to improve their commercial performance
    • Leverage GenAI solutions to improve how we deliver work and differentiate the quality of our deliverables
  • Distilling complex analysis into easy to digest recommendations to clients, whether this is using a data visualisation tool or a standard PowerPoint.
  • Working across the full project lifecycle, from diagnosing the root cause of a commercial problem to the implementation of a long-term solution (such as live-to-source dashboards).
  • Ability to build data-driven solutions ranging from ad-hoc analysis for short advisory projects (e.g. using Alteryx, Excel or PowerBI) to building longer term solutions (i.e. data engineering pipelines).
  • In addition to hands on technical analysis, successful applicants would support production of deliverables in other formats, including:
    • Drafting recommendations in reports for review by senior team leaders
    • Presenting analysis, conclusions and recommendations to clients
    • Liasing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • At times, be flexible to support client’s needs, working together to ‘get the job done’ and travelling within UK and abroad, when required.

The broader part of the role would require:

  • Supporting and upskill non-technical colleagues to share knowledge and skillset across the team.
  • Supporting business development activity by driving forward research and analysis to support opportunity development and conversion.
  • Continuously identifying areas for self-development and action plans to continue professional development.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals that are curious and self-motivated to upskill both technically and commercially. Prior experience of DAX / SQL / Alteryx is desirable but is not a core requirement if the candidate can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and have a general understanding of data analytics.

Education/experience lending itself to demonstrate strong commercial acumen

  • Chartered Accountancy (ACA, CPA, ACCA) or other similar professional qualification, preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience (such as 4-5 years post-degree experience in management consulting, audit, or financial services).
  • Familiarity with common commercial problems and an understanding of the role that professional advisors play in supporting businesses (e.g. audit, working cap/margin/cost advisory, due diligence etc).

Education/experience lending itself to demonstrate desirable technical acumen

  • Data Visualisation – PowerBI, Tableau
  • Data Transformation, Modelling and Warehousing – PowerQuery, Alteryx, SQL / non-SQL databases
  • Programming skills - Python, R

Education/experience lending itself to demonstrate strong acumen related to consultancy

  • Strong problem-solving skills, specifically a hypothesis driven approach to tackling complex problems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
