This position provides clinical expertise in identifying process improvement and cost savings opportunities for UAMS Health. The facilitator’s role encompasses improved products, service and process standardization and utilization. This position interacts with members of the Medical Staff, Department Leaders and care providers to identify, review and assess applicable financial, clinical, operational and evidence-based literature assists in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost-effective products, services and processes. Requires knowledge of conducting a product evaluation, value analysis or process improvement as well as skills in product conversion planning and implementation. Requires relational skills to ensure robust product evaluation with substantive clinical input, the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others. Knowledge of hospital and clinical staff areas as well as EMR. Strong communication and organizational skills are a necessity. Demonstrates the ability to work in a matrix structure across service lines; works closely with the Value Analysis Team to ensure work is accurate, complete and timely. Familiarity with Workday, Microsoft Office software/programs and the organization’s member-driven supply network.

Responsibilities:
• Works directly with the value analysis department and assigned value analysis teams (VAT) to access and set up cost savings, Standardization of products initiatives and evaluate/implement new product requests.
• Maintains current knowledge of the CAPTIS Consolidated Services agreement.
• Performs research, data analysis and benchmarking.
• Develops tools, graphics and presentations as appropriate to identify potential savings and assists others to understand methods and processes required to achieve measurable results.
• Assists in tracking savings/usage of items to quantify expense reduction and quality outcomes.
• Provides educational plans for product and service users.
• Provides a communication plan for product and service information.
• Assists with improving patient care by supporting standardization of protocols and pathways.
• Identifies, involves and collaborates with end users.
• Supports implementation of recommendations from the organization and performs assignments on time.
• Develop conversion plans based on end user support.
• Supports the goals and objectives of UAMS to drive consensus.
• Ensures changes are accepted, implemented and maintained.
• Identifies obstacles and mediates barriers or elevates issues to the VAT and VA Director.
