CharteredPartners is seeking an experienced valuations and financial modelling professional to join our client in Singapore at Director level. The successful candidate will lead independent valuation engagements and complex modelling assignments across transaction, financial reporting and regulatory purposes, signing out work and owning technical quality. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead independent business, equity and intangible-asset valuations for M&A, financial reporting, tax and dispute purposes.
• Direct purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment testing under IFRS, working alongside audit teams as a specialist.
• Own the build and review of integrated financial models, including DCF, LBO and scenario analyses, ensuring methodological integrity.
• Apply valuation standards rigorously, including IVS and the SSV framework, and document defensible assumptions and conclusions.
• Advise clients and deal teams on value drivers, sensitivities and the implications of structuring alternatives.
• Review the work of managers and analysts, maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy and clarity.
• Support business development through proposals, thought leadership and the cultivation of referral relationships.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• CA (Singapore), ACA, ACCA, CPA or CFA, with a strong quantitative academic background.
• Ten or more years in valuations, financial modelling or corporate finance, including time at Senior Manager or Director level.
• Authoritative command of valuation methodology under IVS and the Singapore SSV framework.
• Deep technical knowledge of DCF, market multiples, option pricing and cost approaches.
• Expert financial modelling capability, including LBO, three-statement and scenario models built to a high standard.
• Experience of purchase price allocations and impairment testing under IFRS.
• Familiarity with valuations for SGX-related transactions and MAS-regulated contexts.
• Strong report-writing skills, producing defensible, well-evidenced valuation opinions.
• Excellent written and spoken English and the credibility to defend conclusions to clients and auditors.
• A track record of reviewing and developing modelling and valuation talent.

Preferred Experience:

• Accreditation as a valuer or progress towards a recognised valuation credential.
• Experience of contentious valuations supporting litigation or arbitration.
• Exposure to infrastructure, real estate or financial-instrument valuation.
• Familiarity with the private equity and family-office buyer universe in the region.
• Prior experience within a recognised global accounting-firm valuations practice.
• Working proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia for regional engagements.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
