Position Overview

Join Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Valuations Division as a Valuation Professional and apply your residential real estate valuation expertise to strengthen collateral risk management.

In this role, you will evaluate appraisal report quality, analyze valuation trends, support the responsible use of collateral tools and offerings, and collaborate with internal partners to advance sound valuation practices and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor Freddie Mac collateral tools and offerings to support reliable and effective valuation outcomes.
  • Assess and report on appraisal report quality, valuation trends, and appraiser performance and practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address cross-functional needs and strengthen collateral valuation processes.

Your Impact

  • Review residential appraisal reports and related valuation data to identify quality concerns, emerging trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze the performance of Freddie Mac collateral tools and offerings.
  • Support valuation-related initiatives, including internal tools, testing and learning activities, appraisal report quality reviews, and evaluation of appraiser performance and practices.
  • Develop clear analyses, reports, and recommendations for the Valuation Team and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Current appraiser license or certification, REQUIRED.
  • At least four years of related collateral valuation experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential appraisal methodology, standards, and practices.
  • Experience analyzing appraisal data, preparing reports, and using Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with AI tools.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
