In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources.

What you’ll do in the role:
Step into a dynamic and rewarding position as a Valuation Control Specialist at Morgan Stanley, where your expertise will be instrumental in driving the accuracy and integrity of our asset valuations. In this role, you will:
Lead Independent Price Verification (IPV): Take charge of verifying prices for a global portfolio, leveraging external data and advanced financial models to ensure precision.
Collaborate and Innovate: Engage with front-office traders in meaningful discussions to refine IPV results and enhance marking methodologies.
Analyse and Understand: Dive deep into complex financial products, analysing pricing factors and assessing the impact of market movements on our portfolio and the firm.
Strengthen Controls: Identify and eliminate control gaps within the pricing framework, driving improvements and ensuring robust processes.
Drive Progress: Lead the development of regulatory deliverables and spearhead automation projects using Agile methodologies, pushing the boundaries of innovation.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Bring your skills and passion to our team with:
Experience: In financial product valuation, specifically in complex derivatives, fixed income, or commodities is preferred
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel (VBA/macros), Python
Tools: Familiarity with market data sources like Bloomberg, Reuters, or Intex.
Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP fair value standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel requirements for market risk) is advantageous
