About the Role

This role reports to the Head of Governance and Compliance within the Product Trust Center of Excellence of the HARMAN Automotive Division.

The Product Trust Validation Test Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end coordination and management of Third-Party Validation Testing across Harman Automotive projects. This role ensures that validation testing is accurately scoped and properly resourced. Acting as the primary liaison between the third-party validation testing team and project stakeholders, the Validation Test Manager drives efficient execution, process compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Validation Test planning across all SBUs

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for initiatives for the Product Trust Center of Excellence

  • Coordinate with project team members to schedule and monitor Validation Test plans

  • Maintain a master Validation Test Plan to ensure alignment with the project maturity gates

  • Ensure Validation Tests are correctly scoped and resourced for Maturity Gate readiness

  • Track Validation Test requests, execution status, and mitigation plans using Harman-approved tools

  • Support the Compliance Managers with the preparation of Validation Test Reports and follow-up actions

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to continuously improve validation processes

  • Facilitate requests through the PCSM (Project Cybersecurity Manager) when initial validation test results are in FAIL

  • Ensure readiness for Validation Test by ensuring that all findings from the previous Validation Test have been addressed, and the related work products have been updated and closed

  • Contribute to the development of the knowledge base to support internal training

Accountability

  • Plan, coordinate, and track Validation Tests with committed start and end dates

  • Delivery of the Validation Test Report to all relevant internal stakeholders according to the Maturity Gate declaration timeline

  • Update the relevant processes applicable to the Validation Test based on the lessons learned

  • Maintain dashboards and scorecards for Validation Test throughput, Maturity Gate outcomes (Green/Yellow/Red logic), and cycle times

  • Maintain and regularly update a repository of lessons learned to capture best practices, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities

Authority

  • Prioritize Validation Tests based on Start of Production proximity and Maturity Gate criticality (e.g., production-ready gate receives top priority)

  • Approve or reject re-Validation Test attempts based on mitigation plans and readiness

  • Approve or reject the project Validation Test request based on process compliance and readiness

  • Manage FAIL/Conditional PASS outcomes by coordinating re-Validation Test requests, tracking corrective actions, and ensuring readiness for second attempts

Skills

  • Proficient in project management, including scheduling, resource coordination, and milestone tracking.

  • Ability to use dashboards, scorecards, and tracking tools for monitoring assessment performance.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of requirements, configuration, change, and documentation management.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ALM tools, and other relevant/similar tools

  • Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation skills

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Familiarity with Automotive SPICE®, ASPICE for Cybersecurity, or CMMI.

  • Familiarity with the Product Lifecycle Management, V-model development, and Product Trust workflows and documentation standards.

  • Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434, ISO/SAE 26262, or other relevant standards and regulations in Validation Test scenarios.

What Makes You Eligible

  • 5 years of experience in technical project management. Formal training in technical project management.

  • Academic degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

  • Willingness to work onsite (as required by role or customer needs). Flexible work arrangements are available.
