Labcorp is seeking a Validation Specialist to join our team in Flow Cytometry for a 12-month contract in Geneva.
Monday-Friday
Instruments/Equipment:
Demonstrate working knowledge of Flow Cytometers, centrifuges, biological safety cabinet, and pipettes in the department.
Able to provide troubleshooting to resolve complex instrument and equipment problems. Work with the vendor where needed to resolve issues and summarizes results of investigations.
Perform cytometer instrument setup and QC according to SOP.
Perform various laboratory maintenance tasks in collaboration with operations.
Training:
Coordinate timely review of SOPs, checklists, and other training materials.
Seek to promote expertise in the department and across sites to ensure consistent approach to validation of assays.
Successfully complete, as scheduled, competency assessment, and ensure competency testing documentation is provided to management for review/retention.
Competently perform department duties as set forth in the department training checklist(s).
SOPs/Validation Plans/Validation Reports
Support with the writing of validation plans, reports, and SOPs with assistance from staff and Lead scientists.
Appropriately document work performed in compliance with Labcorp SOPs (generate appropriate audit trail for all activities)
Participate in meetings as requested by listening, discussing, and critically evaluating own data and that presented by others.
Interact with scientists to prepare client facing materials (timelines, datasets, and presentations).
Assay Development and Validation:
Perform specific validations-related laboratory tasks within timelines assigned by Staff and/or Lead scientist.
Maintain laboratory and project related inventory
Assist Staff and Lead scientist with developing project reagent order plans (participate to the identification and the sourcing of reagents/commercial samples/equipment needed for assay validation. Requesting quotes to the Procurement team and interacting with vendors when needed)
Assist Staff and/or Lead scientist with the generation and organization of project data for client review.
Additional responsibilities
Adhere to established Safety policies and Universal Precaution guidelines at all times. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. Minimize biohazard waste.
Comply with regulatory guidelines and Labcorp Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
CFC, BTS, Bachelor, DUT or BUT degree holder
6 months or more of flow cytometry laboratory experience
6 months or more of Microsoft Excel and Word experience
6 months or more of pipetting experience
Excellent verbal and written skills
Good command of English and French
