The Verification and Validation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of HVDC Control Systems by verifying that the Controls Software is built correctly and validating that it meets operational and customer requirements. This role involves designing and executing test cases, analyzing results, and clearly communicating findings to engineering teams. The engineer supports project milestones by planning and delivering required testing activities, while driving continual improvement through tools, methods, and process enhancements. By promoting standard product methodologies and re‑use of solutions, the role contributes to improved quality, reduced delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
Candidates should possess an engineering background in power systems or power electronics, with strong knowledge of HVDC control systems, software development life cycles, and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication, risk management, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety and quality are essential. Experience with Agile methodologies, test management tools, and HVDC industry practices is highly desirable.
