Job Description

We are currently seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Valet Parking Attendants at one of our hospital locations in downtown Halifax. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying active, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time from October 1 to December 20 .
  • Approximately 36 hours per week, with 8- or 9-hour shifts
  • Shifts may be scheduled on weekdays, evenings, and weekends between 7:00 AM and 12:00 AM
  • Schedule may vary based on operational needs

After December 20, the position will transition to casual employment, with hours offered based on operational requirements and employee availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Safely park and retrieve customer vehicles
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before taking custody of vehicles
  • Issue and collect valet tickets
  • Ensure keys are stored securely and vehicles are properly locked
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Provide directions and answer customer questions
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when required
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Valet experience considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving abstract
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles in tight and confined spaces
  • Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is an asset
