Job Description

The Valet & Bell Supervisor ensures the proper handling of guest’s vehicles and the highest level of customer service at all times. Establishes operational procedures for valet parking & hotel bell services.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Customer Service Program to include performing internal spotlights and training on customer service initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing the valet parking spaces.
  • Responsible for the security of all guests’ vehicles while they are valet parked.
  • Sets performance standards for staff.
  • Schedules staff and ensures that he or she is knowledgeable of the events forecasted in order to ensure adequate staffing on event dates.
  • Ensures that scheduling is done in a manner as to provide the highest level of customer service possible while using minimum labor hours.
  • Ensures that all company, property, and departmental rules and regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensures that all valet receipts, records, shift logs, and employee records jackets are maintained and properly handled.
  • Ensures that all paperwork, i.e. tip sheets, pass on books, and time clock sheets are properly maintained.
  • Ensures that new and veteran staff members are properly trained and that company mandated training is completed and updated as necessary.
  • Responsible for providing fair and consistent supervision.
  • Ensures that performance appraisals are carried out and that Team Members are rewarded and or disciplined as required.
  • Ensures that Team Leaders are properly trained in providing fair consistent supervision and guest relations in the event of the supervisor’s absence.
  • Ensures that all posted traffic signs and rules are followed.
  • Must be able to present a valid Louisiana driver’s license record with no moving violations or traffic citations in the past five (5) years.
  • Must be able to obtain Responsible Vendor Certification
  • Ability to drive all types of passenger vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience in hospitality or service industry.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills, leadership skills, and motivational skills.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to run on a level surface and in extreme temperatures.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to run for extended periods on all types of surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to drive all types of passenger vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions in a safe fashion.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to work and quickly maneuver inside and outside, sometimes in temperatures in excess of 115 degrees and as cold as 10 degrees
