
Reporting to the Manager of Front Services, the Valet Attendant provides best in class front door vehicle and luggage service to guests entering and exiting the establishment. Ensures all guests’ arrival and departure valet experiences are memorable, unique, and in alignment with Palms standards/expectations – requiring a high level of professionalism, polish, and stewardship. Maintains a positive attitude and public image while making themselves available to offer authentic greetings, cordial farewells, provide information, and guest assistance.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests professionally and warmly. Unload luggage, assist guests with opening and closing vehicle doors. Inspect and document exterior/interior of each vehicle for safety hazards and preexisting damage.
Safely park and retrieve vehicles without causing damage to vehicle, person, or property. Conditions include inclement weather germane to desert environments (extreme cold and hot), heavy incline/decline (over 15% grade change), varying surfaces (pavement, dirt, pebble), and entry/exit into confined or elevated spaces within a wide range of vehicle types.
Maintain accuracy in guest payment processing, vehicle key inventory, and verify guest receipt matches key/vehicle before handing key to guests. Ensure vehicles are legally parked and maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
Responsible to follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been resolved to their satisfaction. If necessary, document and report all vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, thefts, missing articles, etc.
As needed, provide guests with direction, local areas of interest or activity, invitation to return soon.
Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient department operations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum three (3) years driving experience required.
Ability to operate both a manual and an automatic transmission is required
A qualified candidate/employee must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the enterprise’s insurance carrier.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
May be exposed to smoke
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
Eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard office equipment.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
May be required to work evening, weekends, and holiday shifts.
