About the role

In the vacation student metallurgy role, gain hands-on experience supporting gold processing and plant performance activities across the operation. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that help optimise gold recovery, improve plant efficiency and support production outcomes.

Some of your work may include:

• Assist with process monitoring and plant performance analysis.
• Support metallurgical test work and sample collection activities.
• Analyse processing data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to plant optimisation and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with metallurgical reporting and documentation.
• Work with operational teams to improve gold recovery and processing performance.

Program locations

Cowal Gold Operations, NSW

A major gold operation near West Wyalong, with open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

Roster: 5:2/4:3
Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

About you

We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills.

You’ll be:
