Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, conserve quality and GMP standards
• Apply Captek Company rules, policies and standard operating procedures and maintain regular attendance including breaks and lunch
• Listen to and understand all directions given by management and ask questions if the directions given are unclear
• Work in the most efficient way to meet production goals in a timely manner on daily basis
• Be sure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time, must be able to read and understand SOPs and Batch Record instructions able to document all work as it is performed (in real time)
• Ensures Bulk/polishing SOP’s are followed, ensures cleaning log is always signed and verified by QC/QA technician prior to every use of polishers, scrubbers etc
• Must have the ability to follow and understand Soft gel Bulk/Polish Procedures (Batch Record)
• Ability to identify acceptable and unacceptable soft gels by quick visual inspection
• Ability to operate and clean the Stainless-Steel Pan Polisher, Tipping Basket, Pulse scrubber, Vacumax Basket Polisher
• Must be able to obtain and document the Soft gel Average Weight
• Must be able to identify, separate acceptable and defective soft gels and communicate any issues to Lead and/or Manager. This includes but is not limited to performing a quick inspection or more difficult inspections with leakers, deformities, etc
• Must be able to compare colors, shapes, sizes and overall consistency of the soft gels
• Must be able to identify when soft gels are ready for bulk weighing, polishing and re-inspection when needed
• Ability to communicate and interact with other departments (Nutrients, Encapsulation, Maintenance, Quality Assurance departments etc.)
• Executes proper shift change and communicates all information pertaining to the operator’s area of responsibility
• Assists with janitorial duties in the inspection/bulk/polish area when required
• Must keep polishing and bulk area clean with good housekeeping all time
• Report damaged or broken tools/equipment to your lead or manager right away
• Able to communicate solutions and ideas on how to improve your job to the department manager
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Experience:

• Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
