About the Role
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for designing and delivering high quality, user-centered digital experiences across customer and distribution platforms. This role plans and executes end to end UX design, applies research driven insights to solve complex user and business problems, and ensures experiences are intuitive, consistent, accessible, and compliant with AIA Group Design Standards.
Working closely with business stakeholders and technology teams, UX/UI Designer communicates design rationale clearly, balances multiple constraints to arrive at practical solutions, and drives continuous improvement through measurable UX/UI outcomes and iterative enhancements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Design & Experience Delivery
Plan and execute end-to-end UX/UI design across research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, design handover and design QA.
Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive and effective design solutions.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and design consistency across screens and flows.
Produce clear design documentation to support development and implementation.
Proactively identify UX/UI issues and recommend improvements and iterate designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
Ensure digital experiences across all platforms are consistent, accessible, and aligned with AIA Group Design Standards while meeting local regulatory compliance requirements.
User Research & Insights
Plan and conduct user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
Synthesize and translate research findings into actionable design and recommendations.
Apply research insights to improve existing flows and inform design solutions.
Conduct competitive and comparative analysis to inform design decisions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitate workshops and design discussions with business stakeholders, project managers and tech lead to drive shared understanding and design decisions.
Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints to arrive at practical solutions.
Communicate design rationale clearly using user insights and data.
Measurement & Impact
Define and track UX KPIs (task completion, System Usability Scale Score (SUSS), CSAT, in-app rating).
Drive iterative improvements based on feedback and performance insights.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree in design (UX/UI), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), psychology, or a related field.
At least 4 to 5 years of experience in UX/UI design with strong portfolio of digital work with a preference for backgrounds in regulated industries like finance or insurance.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) is highly valued to ensure design feasibility.
Solid foundation in user centered design methodologies with strong interaction design and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate design intent clearly to stakeholders and delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management with the ability to defend design decisions to the leadership team.
