Join Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) as:

UXUI Designer (18-Month Leased Labor) – Intelligent Cockpit (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled candidate in UXUI Team for intelligent cockpit system, handling and advancing user experiences for AI empowered conversational features.

The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive digital interface design (GUI) and/or voice interaction/conversational UI designs (VUI/CUI) in user centric approach, including user flow, wireframing, UI designs, concept videos or storytelling prototyping. Your will be working on future trends of vehicle HMI design, AI UX, and product innovations in Vehicle Intelligent Cockpit.

Your mission:

• To discover and define UXUI opportunities in AI-enabled in-car HMI system, in perspectives of both user values, technology trends and competitor analysis.

• To deliver creative ideas and high-quality designs individually or with a small team, including high-level and/or detailed user flows, wireframes, UI prototypes, storytelling demos/videos, and presentation documents.

• To convert technical frameworks into implementable user experience and enhancing interface usability.
  

Your areas of expertise

• Master’s or higher degree in UXUI design, HMI/HCI design, product design, multimedia design or other equivalent design disciplines or experience.

• Experience in Automotive HMI design or consumer products user interface design. Experience in AI interface design or voice interface design is a preferred.

• A portfolio demonstrating proven UX and UI design on real products or pre-development programs.

• Proficiency in UXUI design tools e.g. Figma, video prototyping tools e.g. AE, and/or interactive demo tools e.g. ProtoPie, and PowerPoint; Skills in 3D visualization is a plus.

• Experience in building interactive demo and user-testing is preferred.

• Experience of generative AI tools for design creation or process is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to make the planned deliverables happen under pressure.

• Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in Mandarin and can occasionally support as an interpreter for the team is an advantage.
