You’ll play a critical role in helping your team understand user needs and will drive impact at all stages of product development, ensuring products are useful, usable, and helpful. You will explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research, including: field studies, interviews, diary studies, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. You will also grow within a supportive UXR community offering mentorship, regular meetups, and exclusive internal tools.

Come join the Data UX team! We sit within Core’s AI Foundations organization—a team dedicated to accelerating and scaling Google's ability to deliver world-leading products in the AI era. We build the tools and infrastructure that enable ML researchers, data engineers, and AI/ML developers to create cutting-edge AI products across Google's ecosystem.

You will drive research to characterize and optimize the end-to-end workflow for AI/ML and data engineers, researchers, and scientists at Google, focusing on identifying bottlenecks and shaping next-generation, AI-driven tools and agentic systems.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer.
