The Step Up program provides supplementary funds for undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Utah who are completing unpaid internships, either on-campus or with off-campus organizations. In addition to satisfactorily completing the requirements of the internship, Step Up interns will create documentation about their internships to be shared with U of U students through social channels, websites, newsletters, and other media. Options may include video, podcasts, and/or blogs describing the experiential benefits of interning.
Students are responsible for locating and being selected for their internships before acceptance for Step Up. For help applying for internships, make an appointment with your career coach at https://careers.utah.edu/meet-your-coaches/. Internships must be within the state of Utah, and work must be performed in person.
Preference is given to students with internships within non-profit and social impact focused organizations.
