We are looking for energetic individuals who enjoy a balance of working together on projects and individually on assigned tasks in the areas of facilities management and maintenance. Different projects provide opportunities to work with many different people and departments on a variety of tasks.
This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at Marriott Library.
For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted.
Current University of Utah student enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Demonstrate a knowledge of general maintenance skills and related tools. Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks and collaboratively in groups on assigned projects. The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work from a step ladder. Show effective communication and human relation skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
