Get On Board for a Dynamic and Purposeful Career

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Utilization Manager to join our dynamic team in the Selangor, Malaysia. This role will be responsible for optimizing cargo flows and ensuring efficient utilization of vessel spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and monitor space to fulfill BSA/ BWA
  • Coordinate with consortium partner, CS team, Operation team, and terminal for smooth operation.
  • Manage allocation by customer and cargo mix to optimize space utilization
  • Provide forecast (CBF) to partner and trade 3 times a week
  • Monitor and update loading factor constantly to share the information with relevant stakeholders, including Sales, CS, PILHQ Trade for necessary actions to be taken to ensure down and full utilization.
  • Summarize final lifting volume to Operation Department for stowage planning.
  • Set the direction to drive weekly sales activities.
  • Track customer performance on a regular basis.
  • Collect and share market Intel and feedback with Trade.
  • Monitor vessel schedule and update closing time to all concerned parties.
  • Administrative update of lifting forecast in the system.
  • Support operational alignment on service changes, blank sailings, inducement calls, or capacity adjustments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve utilization through process enhancements or better forecasting.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–4 years of experience in the maritime industry, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Change management mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
