Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible for the support of the Orders Departments by efficiently delivering pallets, cutting half pallets, loading product on the conveyor belt, clearing jams on conveyor belt, taking trash to the compactor, sorting good/bad pallets for disposal for in-house use.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY 7AM - 3PM

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Power equipment certification required including Forklift (electric and gas), tugger, double walkie, utility vehicle, hand pallet jack.
  • Must be able to cut half pallets (using a sawzall) while keeping a surplus available for loaders as needed.
  • Deliver new pallets to each lane at the end of day and as needed throughout the day.
  • Clear jams on the conveyor to keep the belt running efficiently.
  • Remove scrap pallets from the backside of the dock, sorting them for disposal or use in warehouse.
  • Empty trash cans throughout the day, empty into compactor.
  • Must be able to manage the process for damaged merchandise.
  • Sweep out all trailers as available throughout the day.
  • Stock slip sheets & shrink wrap at each lane.
  • Distribute pipe racks along the front of the dock.
  • Assist cleaning spurs throughout the day and at the end of each day.
  • Responsible for spill clean ups on the dock.
  • Performs other housekeeping duties as assigned. *

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
  • Good comprehension and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude
  • Power Equipment certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
