Utility Service Worker I: $17.72 - $22.595
Utility Service Worker II: $18.77 - $23.93
STREETS: Performs work in the construction, renovation, modification, installation, and repair of streets. Performs construction, pipe installation and cement work including laying curbs, streets, sidewalks; working on a variety of structures; and performing related work incidental to these tasks. Is required to work under adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher classification and reviewed by direct observation, while in progress, and upon completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Utility Service Worker I:
STREETS AND STORMWATER DIVISION: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Six (6) months of experience in road construction, building construction, masonry, or related experience desired.
Valid State of Florida Driver's License required.
Utility Service Worker II:
STREETS: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years of experience in road construction. Experience should include storm drain construction, and/or asphalt and/or brick construction, sidewalk, curb and miscellaneous concrete construction; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid State of Florida Driver's License required. Progression from a Utility Service Worker I to a Utility Service Worker II will be based on related work experience. Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or higher desired. Must be able to be reliably contacted by phone in case of an urgent work situation.
