Primarily responsible for chemical delivery system maintenance, valve maintenance, assisting on Shift Supervisors with daily process monitoring, and occasional membrane testing. May have to cover call ins on occasion. Will complete OBM PM’s that are scheduled.
• Provide vacation coverage as needed including switching over to different shifts.
• Operate all Lactoferrin duties on both the wet and dry process.
• Perform column maintenance and reclassification
• Perform quality control checks and record results.
• Operate HMI process controls.
• Properly maintain equipment and workstations.
• CIP/COP related process equipment as required by PMO and internal policies.
• Satisfy specified cleaning and documentation as it is contained in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Effectively communicate.
• Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.
• Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
• Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
• Participate in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
• Prioritize safety above all other job duties by always having a safety-first approach.
• Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.
• Participate in departmental safety teams.
• Promote Company Culture.
• Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments.
• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including weekends, holidays, and O/T as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Skilled as a Milk Receiver, Transfer Operator, or UF Operator (level 1-3) (Required for Milk)
• Skilled in SAP
• State issued Sampler's and Weigher's License (Required for Milk)
• Beta-Lactam Industry Analyst (Required for Milk)
• Has completed/in the process of completing the HCC Level 1 Leadership Training
• Experience in working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Active/past member of department safety team
• Certified Industry Supervisor
