Job Description

Our client, a major international utilities company, is looking to hire a Utility Operations Specialist. This role is based in Paramus, NJ, and is hybrid (3 days a week onsite)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Utility Operations Specialist with strong Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) configuration and scripting experience to support utility operations and asset management initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands EAM platforms, can configure solutions based on business requirements, and has the scripting skills needed to support and enhance the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions supporting utility operations.
• Translate business and operational requirements into EAM configurations, workflows, and system solutions.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams to understand asset-management needs.
• Configure asset management, work management, maintenance, workflow, and related EAM functionality.
• Develop and maintain scripts to support EAM functionality, automation, integrations, and business processes.
• Analyze and resolve system, configuration, workflow, and data-related issues.
• Support enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing, and implementation activities.
• Participate in requirements gathering, process mapping, configuration, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
• Improve asset lifecycle management, maintenance processes, work orders, preventive maintenance, and operational workflows.
• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Required Qualifications

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Demonstrated experience configuring EAM solutions, including workflows, business rules, processes, or related functionality.
• Scripting experience is required.
• Experience working with EAM platforms such as Hexagon or CloudGeni.
• Maximo experience will also be considered.
• Experience in a utility, energy, water, waste, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive environment.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle management, maintenance, work management, preventive maintenance, and field operations.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into EAM configurations and technical solutions.
• Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Candidates with experience in any of the following environments are encouraged to apply:
• Hexagon EAM
• CloudGeni / Cloud-based EAM solutions
• IBM Maximo
• Other comparable Enterprise Asset Management platforms
• Hexagon or CloudGeni experience is highly relevant. Maximo experience is also acceptable for candidates with strong EAM configuration and scripting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience configuring EAM workflows, business rules, screens, forms, integrations, or automation.
• Experience with EAM scripting and customization.
• Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, integrations, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Utility operations or field-service management experience.
• Experience with asset performance management and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on EAM specialist with configuration and scripting expertise, preferably from a utility or other asset-intensive environment.
