We are seeking motivated Utility Mechanics to support the maintenance and repair of our expanding fleet of electric vehicle (EV) and diesel commercial vehicles and motor coach buses. This is an excellent opportunity for Class B or C mechanics looking to build experience in advanced transportation technologies while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This position involves skilled, semi-skilled, or entry-level mechanical work focused on servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial vehicles and transit buses.

Key Responsibilities
◦ Perform diagnostic tests and procedures using a variety of equipment, electronic tools, and diagnostic software
◦ Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and servicing on motor coaches and commercial vehicles
◦ Operate service equipment such as hydraulic hoists, jacks, battery chargers, pumps, and steamers
◦ Perform routine mechanical repairs and adjustments; remove, replace, or exchange parts as needed
◦ Inspect engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems to identify malfunctions and report findings
◦ Assist senior technicians with complex repairs to develop technical skills and experience
◦ Respond to field trouble calls and perform standard repairs, adjustments, or parts replacements in the field
◦ Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation and paperwork
◦ Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
◦ Knowledge of general mechanical principles and standard repair practices
◦ Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems commonly found in heavy-duty vehicles
◦ Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and software
◦ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical reference materials
◦ Ability to perform routine and major mechanical repairs and adjustments
◦ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
◦ Ability to perform physically demanding work typical of the trade
Training & Experience
◦ Minimum of 1 year of experience in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment or commercial vehicles
◦ Technical college training in diesel or heavy-duty equipment mechanics may substitute for experience
◦ Equivalent combinations of training and experience demonstrating the required knowledge and abilities will be considered
◦ Experience servicing electric vehicles is a plus
◦ Valid California Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements is a plus
